Dear Friend of the Sati Center,
Three years ago, Sati Center took a leap of faith to offer a host of new programs, many of which were online. This was met with enthusiasm and many new people participated in these fresh programs. Consequently, we are inspired to continue growing the Sati Center to become a thriving resource for Buddhist learning, practice, and training.
In the past few years, we’ve launched new sutta study programs exploring the original teachings of the Buddha and their relevance in our lives. We’ve also doubled our training programs in Buddhist spiritual care and dramatically expanded the number of teachers who teach for us.
Looking ahead, we will continue growing our offerings, including evening talks, daylong workshops, multi-week and multi-month trainings, and weeklong study/practice retreats. We are also expanding our website to provide freely available materials for the study of Buddhist teachings, practices, spiritual care, ethics, and their applications to contemporary issues.
Ultimately, we aspire to have a West Coast center where we can offer residential workshops, seminars, and trainings, in addition to our online offerings. We envision this to be a home for a vibrant community of practitioners exploring the Pali teachings of the Buddha in themselves and applying them in the context of modern life.
We warmly invite you to support the Sati Center and all who benefit from our programs. All donations are welcomed and appreciated, including those that foster our continued growth.
With gratitude,
Sati Center Director and Board,
Rob Hammond, Kim Allen, Ying Chen, Diana Clark, and Gil Fronsdal
